The Initial Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Show Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
In numerous discussions, commentators persist in tolling the knell for the Xbox brand. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a relatively obscure console. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content about PlayStation for the first time. Last year proved to be an era of significant turmoil for Xbox and Microsoft. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it's evident that Xbox continues to plan to attract subscribers with quality releases on its flagship service.
The Available Now Titles
The two games that are immediately available as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's deserving of attention.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
Come mid-January, the subscription service will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that deviates from conventional open-world tropes with a space-faring criminal escapade. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, previously described as "a superb mixture of horror and action."
Noteworthy Smaller Games
However, the more modest titles set to join the catalog are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler offering thrilling gameplay, drops on Jan. 7th — and it merits a playthrough regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year may draw you in in about 15 minutes flat.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by Rebellion Developments, is also a game to check out. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Robust Selection of Games
All in all, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that are the sole reason for the service alone. But Microsoft's additions here are very dependable. It offers a healthy blend of older titles you may have skipped and relatively recent releases that lacked the recognition they were due initially — which makes them perfect candidates to find a new audience on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
