The former president's Granddaughter Gets Expert Tips from Golf Legend Woods Prior to LPGA First Appearance
This young athlete maintains impressive social media presence
The young golfer will have plenty of prominent supporters as she starts her LPGA debut this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to a former US president, received a sponsor's invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, operates numerous international courses and frequently plays against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we play competitive games," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that Trump, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply stay calm."
"He practically suggested to play and have fun," she added.
"To me, he's just a normal grandpa. He can't make it this weekend. He's occupied with presidential duties, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, Kai has participated in only three events this year and holds the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
Yet she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He stands as the greatest golfer globally," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's a superior individual. He told me to go out there, have fun, and go with whatever happens."
Kai will face some of most prominent players in professional golf at the Annika, featuring world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Officials mentioned that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to different demographics, especially among the next generation.
The young star has millions of followers and recently launched an exclusive apparel and wellness label.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
