Iranian Forces State Strike on US Base in Bahrain, Amid Widespread Counterattacks.
Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Bahrain, as the country executed operations across the region in retaliation for a large-scale and continuing assault against it by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone near the headquarters of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any impact is uncertain and the American officials has yet to issue a statement.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - each hosting US military bases - stated they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.
In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said it had successfully engaged several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
IRGC Statement
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard declared it was striking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the strikes on Iran carried out by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.
That initial attack - initiated at around 06:15 GMT - has so far focused on sites associated with the the regime, with US President Donald Trump calling on the people of Iran to revolt against the government.
Additional Developments
In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israeli military said it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the UAE stated that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with high efficiency and shot down a number of missiles," the statement continued.
Officials reported missile fragments landed in a neighborhood in the capital, causing some property damage and fatalities.
The United States Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
